Hangin' with some friends

Suzu decided to heed his words, as all she could feel was pain. Moving her head was about the only thing she could do.

Hearing a scratching sound, she turned her sight as best as she could towards the window.

A blurry bird-like shape could be seen gouging a hole in the glass with its talons. When the hole was big enough, it glided in and landed in front of her crate in a mass of feathers and specks of blood.

She gasped, then winced as her body stung. "Hayato...?" She managed to whisper.

It started to morph into the shape of a bloodied Hayato, panting and clutching a deep wound in his arm. He reached through the crate with his good hand and placed a hand on her cheek.
"Suzu...Are you okay..?"

"Hayato... You shouldn't have come... You're hurt..." She whispered, drawing short breaths due to the pain.

She couldn't move. The pain was making her head spin. Still, she tried to reach out to him, even as her vision blurred dangerously. "Is Kurai alright...?"

"Shhh...We'll talk about that later.."
He whispered soothingly, stroking her cheek softly as he picked the lock with a talon he hadnt morphed back. The lock slowly clicked as the door swung open, and he gathered her softly into his arms.
"You'll be alright...I swear..Just take it easy.."

She could feel her eyesight fading, the pain becoming too much to handle. Her wrist throbbed from earlier; she suspected it was broken.

"Stay with me Su..."
He put his forehead to hers.
"Please, just stay with me..."
A tear rolled down his cheek and dripped onto hers.
"I cant do this without you..."

She lifted one hand, touching his. "I love you..." She faded, passing out.

"I love you too..."
He whispered, checking her pulse. She was alive, good.
He quickly undid the latch from the inside of the window and half-morphed, producing two wings from his shoulder blades and taking off into the night, the padding of paws barely audiable beneath him in the cover of the forest.

Suzu was completely out of it, though her body unconsciously twitched in pain every time she was moved.

Hayato headed for the local hospital, cradling her gently in his arms to make the journey as painless for her as possible. It looked like all 3 of them needed treatment...
